What I’m Reading
Linking up with Modern Mrs. Darcy’s Quick Lit. It is hard for me to throw in my voice on reading posts because I’m rarely finishing books – always in them. But I’m jumping in because sharing.
My daughter’s teacher read aloud the first Boxcar Children book in her kindergarten class, and we’ve continued the series at home! It’s been years since I read them myself. 🙂
Same with me. I’m glad they’re keeping my 5-year-old’s interest.
Brown Girl Dreaming is magnificent. I also write middle grade verse novels and was unsure how Jackie would pull off a memoir in this format, but my word, she did it (and did it brilliantly).
It is very absorbing. I’ve seen you comment on Anne’s site – how great you write verse novels. I will have to read some.
