There’s something about an extra day of rest for my heart. Sabbath flows naturally with how I want to live throughout the week. But the extra day? That’s extravagant.
He’s so extravagant.
I don’t know about you, but I struggle with not earning blessings. We’ve been showered lately, and I’ve said more than once to hubs, “I don’t deserve all this.”
Of course not.
Of course not.
Oh, things are far from perfect around here, just like in your corner of the world. We have our struggles. Our slow-to-learn lessons. Our outright rebellions from which we reap consequences.
And still, extravagance. Extravagant love, extravagant forgiveness.
Extravagant hope.
I hope you delight in the freedom this Labor Day. Create something beautiful. Forgive someone generously. Receive forgiveness humbly.
Love the people in front of you.
Freely you have received; freely give.
